What is the Best Smart Watch for Recording Meetings for AI Transcription?

I’m looking for recommendations on the best products or software combinations that can help capture long meetings either as audio or directly as speech-to-text. I want to ensure good audio quality and accurate transcription with as few steps as possible.

Honestly, I don’t think it would work that well. Even with large, expensive microphones, it’s still difficult to get a good sound signal from a meeting, like in Teams or something similar, unless there are individual or at least a few larger microphones involved.

So, the chances that a tiny hole in a watch would capture anything clear, beyond just your own voice, are pretty slim. Maybe if you passed the watch around as a token for each person to speak directly into it, but that seems impractical.

Yeah, even then it’s probably going to be garbage. Based on what I’ve seen transcribed for Teams and Zoom meetings (by the way, Zoom seems to do better with accents than Teams, which is terrible – you’d expect better from Microsoft).

@Drew
I was just talking about the quality of the sound being understandable for humans. But yeah, the lack of transcription quality is another issue entirely.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s due to the lack of quality mics or accents. I use a good mic on my PC and it usually transcribes my speech pretty well, although my accent trips it up sometimes. This is why I don’t use voice assistants much – it’s like the famous video of the Scottish guys trying to use a voice-activated lift. It’s hilarious if you haven’t seen it. And that’s why I avoid using Alexa; it really struggles with my accent.

@Drew
Haha, that’s a good one. LOL
