I currently use a Mi Band 8, which does the job for me. But I’ve recently gotten interested in watches with an analog look. I’m looking for a smartwatch that fits that style. My main needs are a good design, solid battery life, and compatibility with Android. I don’t need anything super advanced, just something simple that works well.
You might like the Garmin Venu, Fenix, Forerunner, or Epix. I use one of these, and I only charge it twice a month even with regular GPS use.
When you say you’re into analog watches, do you mean you want a smartwatch with an analog-style watch face, or are you talking about a hybrid with real mechanical hands?
If it’s just the watch face, most smartwatches can do that. Your Mi Band might even support an analog watch face. But if you want something more like a classic round smartwatch, you could look at the Amazfit GTR series or Huawei GT series.
For hybrids (smartwatches with mechanical hands), here are some options:
- Withings: Battery lasts up to 28 days. It has a small cutout screen for basic notifications and data, but you’ll need to use the app for most things.
- Garmin Vivomove series (Sport, Trend, Luxe): These last up to 5 days. They show full data on the watch and most notification details. The Sport version has a cutout screen, but the Trend and Luxe have full screens.
- Garmin Instinct Crossover: Battery lasts up to 28 days or up to 70 days with the solar version (if you get a few hours of sunlight daily). This is a full fitness watch with mechanical hands.
- Kronaby: These are what I call smart assist watches. No screens; notifications come through vibrations or hand movement. You’d still need your phone for most features.

I’ve seen some models I like, like the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro with a titanium bracelet. But honestly, it feels overpriced for what it offers.
A lot of smartwatches are pretty thick and don’t really look like regular watches unless you’re looking straight at the face. There are a few exceptions, but they’re mostly cheap ones from China. Check out models like the H06, DA09, and DW01. I’ve reviewed some of them here if you want to take a look.
