I’m looking for some advice on alternatives to the Apple Watch. The battery life just doesn’t work for me! I need something that can reply to texts, answer calls, track sleep and steps, and handle workouts—especially pickleball. Also, it would be great if it has a voice assistant for setting timers, alarms, and reminders.
My budget is under $200, and I’m fine with buying used if it helps!
I agree with the Amazfit Balance suggestion. It’s what I’m considering for myself! It’s supposed to have a battery life of 7 to 14 days, depending on how you use it.
You might want to look into the Huawei Watch GT5. I think it’s more accurate than the Amazfit Balance and anything else in that price range. With Black Friday deals, I saw one for $190, and they even threw in Freebuds 5i for free!
Honestly, because of how Apple locks down certain features, you might need to compromise a bit. Most alternatives can’t fully replicate replying to texts or using a voice assistant.
For something close, Garmin Fenix 8 is a solid option. You can reply to texts using your phone’s Siri through the watch. It also has built-in tools for timers and alarms. Reminders might require Siri too.
Garmin Venu 3 can handle texts and reminders with Siri, but unless it gets a software update, you’d need Siri for timers and alarms too.
The Amazfit Balance works similarly to the Fenix 8 in terms of using a built-in assistant and Siri. As for Huawei, I’m not sure if it connects to Siri at all.
