Which fitness watch gives the best value for money?

Hi everyone, I’m planning to get a fitness watch and I’ve heard Garmin is really good.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

  • Budget under $300
  • Accurate heart rate monitor
  • Reliable step counter
  • Decent calorie tracking (though this isn’t a top priority)

Any recommendations? Thanks for your help!

You should check out this Garmin model on Amazon. It’s solid and has features I didn’t even realize I needed!

Amazon Price Update:

Garmin vívoactive 5, Health and Fitness GPS Smartwatch, AMOLED Display, Up to 11 Days of Battery, Black

  • Current price: $299.99
  • Lowest price: $189.00
  • Average price: $273.42

Price trend looks stable. Worth keeping an eye out for sales if you’re not in a hurry to buy.

I’ve been using it for a while, and it’s definitely a solid choice. The battery life is fantastic too!

If you’re looking for real value, some of the cheaper Chinese brands are surprisingly decent. A lot of them are junk, but a few are actually good. I posted about it on another forum if you want more details.

Check out Amazfit—it’s usually great for the price!

I recently snagged a used Garmin Instinct 2 Solar for just $100 on Facebook Marketplace. Look around on sites like OfferUp or your local marketplace. You’d be surprised how many people are selling barely-used watches.
