I need a smartwatch that will work with an iPhone but isn’t an Apple Watch. I need it to play Spotify or another streaming app, have good battery life, and solid build quality. Price range is flexible but hoping to stay around 200-500 Euros if possible.
If you’re looking for a watch that will work smoothly with an iPhone and let you use Spotify or other offline music streaming apps, Garmin is the way to go. Garmin watches tend to have a solid build, and if you have a subscription, you can download playlists to listen offline on Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer, and YouTube Music (and a few country-specific services).
Within the 200-500 Euro range, I’d suggest the Garmin Vivoactive 5, Forerunner 165 Music, Venu 3, FR265, FR955, or FR965. You might even find deals on the older Fenix 7 or Epix 2 within that budget.

Some models definitely stand out, but Garmin’s style is more low-key and functional overall. They’re also pretty unisex, though the larger 51mm ones lean more masculine.

I found a Fenix 6s Solar refurbished for 215 Euros… do you think that’s worth it?

Make sure it’s a Pro or Sapphire version. Without those, it won’t have storage for music. The Fenix 6 series has a base model without music support, and it’s overpriced if it’s a non-music version. You might want to double-check since Pro versions sometimes go for under €250.

Solar charging on these is minimal, and some models only come with sapphire glass if they’re also solar. I had both the Fenix 6 and 7, and I’d say the 6 feels a bit more rugged. If you find a good used Fenix, especially a 7x Solar on sale, it could be a solid pick within your budget.

Thanks, I’ll keep looking. We don’t really have Amazon here though.
The Huawei Watch GT 5 is an option too.

I second that. It doesn’t have Spotify on the watch itself, but you can still control Spotify playing on your phone through it.
Check out this forum… r/r3new has a lot of great options for just about any smartwatch you’re considering, especially in your price range.
