Smartwatch £200 budget

I want:

7 day battery life minimum

Circular watch face

Simple/sleek look

Standard features: Step counter, heartrate & Sleep tracking

Decent app

Ability to turn off text/calls/excessive notifications- really don’t want a second phone on my wrist

Ideally not Huawei because of the app not available on play store

What are my options?

I was considering Amazfit Balance. Any others?

Sounds like you would be very happy with any Huawei GT model, preferably GT3 Pro or the new GT4 if you are able to wait for a discount, othersiss GT3 but I would wait. That of course means you won’t have all the features that WearOS brings with it (e.g. Spotify etc.) but if you don’t need that you will get the best build and great accuracy for a reasonable price.

I have shortlisted GT 3 but I was afraid to pull the trigger because I don’t know what the challenges of using a Huawei device in north America would be. I know I’d have to side load the app but apart from that I’m not sure what pitfalls lie awaiting

Right totally forgot about that, that’s too bad  Don’t really know about how it functions in North America tbh, maybe you can find something about that online.

I’ve already asked in another thread but I’m currently deciding between GT3 (150€), GT3 Pro and GT4 (both 250€). I have a hard time understanding the difference between them. GT3 seems to be a fitness tracker while GT3 pro and GT4 appear to cater more to a smart watch market. Is the 100€ worth it? I would use it mainly for HR/Sleep/Steps and some activities, run/hike/swim/bike. Not sure if I need NFC payments but I guess phone notifications would be ok

Check out the 5ATM EIGIIS watch on Amazon, they have all the features you’re looking For at less than $$60.00 USD.

Not sure I can help on the cheap end. I’ve been eyeing one I’m saving for forever now (shit comes up I gotta spend the money) so a friend bought me a budget watch. Had it on over a week now, battery still at 70%. It tells time ok, and weather is accurate enough. Aside from that, sleep tracker is a joke (it’s added as much as 4hrs of awake time after I get up to the sleep time) and can’t say for sure how accurate the heart monitor is. Same goes for the pedometer. All it’s really good for is the time and stopwatch. Even the alarm only vibrates, no sound.

But, it’s a watch and I got it free so can’t really complain. I’m a watch (old style) person. Only decided to try a smartwatch (smarter then a fitness tracker preferably) after my last regular watch broke; just haven’t been able to get one yet. So I’m content at least having a watch again until I can afford the one I want.

Maybe the Amazfit Balance would be also ok. Though in general Amazfit watches didn’t have accurate measurements previously. Don’t know about the Balance but there is a review from Fit Gear Hunter which should cover that. At least it looks great IMO

Under 200$?

The Huawei Watch Fit 2, I’d say. I was surprised at how cheap but very accurate in data measurements it is. In smartwatch features, it pretty much covers all the basics and a bit more!

If you prefer a round watch, then the GT3 should mostly fit the bill.

I didn’t choose the Amazfit due to accuracy issues in metrics it was plagued with, and very fast and confusing releases of hardware products in a short amount of time, without improving on the software.

Btw, I also own a Huawei GT3 Pro and a Huawei GT4 imported from France. The only things that don’t work, are the Blood Pressure, ECG measurements and of course the Wallet features (China exclusivity).
