I’m looking for an elegant smartwatch that has a classic look, not sporty. I also need it to have great battery life since I plan to use it for notifications, calls, and sports apps. I’m fine if it doesn’t have eSIM or music features.
I like the Huawei GT 4 and GT 5 because of the good battery and sleek design, but it lacks Google apps. Are there other watches that look as elegant, have good quality, and work well with Google apps? Most of the ones I’ve found seem more like sports watches with plastic bands and that’s not the look I’m going for.
If you want Google apps, you’re really looking at four options: Samsung, Google, Ticwatch, or OnePlus. Unfortunately, none of them have great battery life. I switched from WearOS to an Amazfit Balance.

I’m not sure if I need Google apps yet… what would I miss out on if I went for the Huawei GT5 or GT4? I also considered the Amazfit Balance, but I prefer the design of the Huawei.

The vibration motor is pretty bad. It’s just not very strong.
The OnePlus Watch 2 could be a great option for you, especially if you like the style of the Huawei watches.

Yeah, it looks great! I’ve heard that the Watch 3 is going to be even better and should be available in early 2025. I think I’ll wait for that.
Unfortunately, most smartwatches these days are bulky and just aren’t elegant. The few elegant ones don’t have apps like you want. If you check my profile and posts, there are two posts from January 2024 where I list a few thin watches and some that work well for smaller wrists.
