Looking for an affordable digital watch with a "find my" feature… any suggestions?

I don’t need a smart watch, just something basic. The main features I’m looking for are:

  • Digital display (numbers for the time, no analog face)
  • A simple way to track the watch (like the find my device or AirTag, doesn’t need live GPS, just basic tracking)
  • Good battery life

My father-in-law is starting to have some memory and cognitive issues, and his analog watch is becoming hard for him to read. We want to get him something simple to replace it, and maybe a way to track him if he wanders off. A longer battery life would be awesome. Any suggestions that are affordable?

(Another option we were thinking about is just a regular watch with a Tile or something on his keychain.)

I think the problem with smart watches for this kind of thing is the battery life. How can we make sure he remembers to charge it regularly?

From what I know, most watches that have a tracking feature use bluetooth, so the range is limited.

I also know that most phones have a built-in feature to find your phone or make it ring through your account. Pixel watches have this feature, but they can be expensive. Casio Bluetooth watches are around 100 USD and have a similar feature, but it works through their own software, which isn’t as reliable.

Yeah, it seems like Android’s ‘find my’ feature isn’t as good as AirTags and doesn’t offer the same coverage.

An Amazfit watch might be your best bet.
