I’m looking for a smartwatch that can be fully controlled from my phone. I have a disability that makes it hard to physically use the watch’s screen or buttons, so I need one that lets me control everything from my phone, like setting it up and managing things like notifications, apps, and health tracking.
I know most watches let you control some things through apps, but I’m hoping to find one where the phone is the main control device. Bonus points if it works with Android.
I haven’t heard of a smartwatch like that before. But maybe you could ask around in this forum for one of the open-source options? There might be something out there that’s made specifically for your situation.
Also, depending on your disability, voice control might be useful too. I haven’t found one that’s fully voice-controlled yet, but there might be something out there. I found this link that talks about voice-activated smartwatches, but it looks like it’s just a concept for now. Sorry about that!
The Apple Watch has a feature where you can screen share and remote control it from your iPhone. It works by sharing the screen, and you can even control the physical buttons from your phone, iPad, or Mac. I know it’s not Android, but it might be exactly what you’re looking for. Here’s an image showing how it works: Apple Watch Remote Control
