I’m trying to buy a watch for my grandmother who has Alzheimer’s. It needs to have GPS that works all the time, but without an SOS button. It should also look more like a regular watch, not a kid’s watch. My budget is around $100-$150. Any recommendations? Thanks!
If you want it to track her location even when she’s away from her phone, it will probably need to have LTE as well.
Just be aware that GPS and LTE watches can drain the battery pretty quickly, so it might be difficult for her to remember to charge it every day.
Also, for that price range, I don’t know if you’ll find one that’s stylish enough for her while still having GPS and LTE.

She already has some kind of smartwatch. It’s the only thing she charges regularly, and she always wears it. She tends to forget about her phone or wallet, though.

Maybe look for a similar version of what she already has, but with GPS and LTE. If it’s from the same brand, she might find it more familiar.
If it’s the next version of the same model, it should look similar, and you might even be able to get a close match for the watch face to make it feel more like what she’s used to.
GPS can really drain the battery. That’s why some of the kid trackers use a mix of Wi-Fi, LTE, and GPS with periodic checks to keep the battery from running out too quickly. Just keep in mind that GPS doesn’t always work well inside buildings, depending on the design of the building and the watch.
There are some watches specifically for elderly people, though they often come with an LTE subscription. I’d suggest doing a quick search online for those.
