Is the pixel watch 1 still worth buying?

I saw the pixel watch 1 in sale for 167$. I have the Google pixel 7 pro smartphone. Is the watch still worth buying? And can I use every feature like paying? Because the support is to be cancelled next year.

I do nothing to save battery. Always On Screen is on, etc. I average 3.5% burn per hour. Usually put on the charger at ten at night with 30-40% left. For a hundred, assuming it’s in good shape, probably. Owned mine for 13 months.

I’m in the same boat, charge it every evening before going to bed (wear it during the night) and will end the next day around 25-35% depending on workouts.

Only consider waiting if you will be willing to pay the extra cash for the upcoming watch 3, especially if you are interested in the rumoured new sizes.

I just moved on from my Fossil Gen 6 since Fossil has moved out of the smartwatch industry essentially, and I’m loving my Pixel Watch. Very similar situation as you - bought a refurbished unit with a warranty for about $100. Battery life is better than I expected - I usually end the day with about 35-40% remaining, and some days, I creep into the 50s. AOD, WiFi, etc. all on. Performance is excellent. I really think it’s a savvy purchase given how far the hardware optimization and software has come along since launch, and given that Google will continue to support the Pixel Watch 1 until October 2025.

I seem to be going against the grain here, but I had a PW1 and then a replacement PW1 before I upgraded to a PW2 (£200 on eBay, there’s loads for that price).I really struggled with the battery life and responsiveness of the PW1. Battery life I could live with but I just found it infuriatingly laggy.

Biggest upgrades to PW2 are just that it feels WAY more responsive so I find myself using it much more often, and I never worry about battery so can keep AOD and other features on. If that’s worth £100 to you then Id say go PW2. If you just want to dip your toe in then £100 for PW1 isn’t bad.

Agreed. The feel, battery life and responsiveness of the 2 is a generational improvement over the 1. Much better user experience if OP isn’t restricted by budget.

if your current watch is still working - just wait for the PW3 to be released in October 2024 (6 Months) and then upgrade then! if not - get the PW1 for $100 to hold you over until then!
