Do fitness trackers let you count sets by tapping?

Hi everyone, sorry if this is a silly question. I’ve never used a smartwatch or fitness tracker before.

Do any of them have a way to count sets manually by tapping the screen?

I often lose track of my sets when working out and I’m thinking about getting a Xiaomi Smart Band or a Google Fitbit Inspire. I just want something simple where I can tap to keep count. Can they do this?

Thanks so much for your help, and I hope you all have a great day!

That might work for legs or certain exercises, but how will you manage it for things like arms? Personally, I prefer Garmin’s method. It counts reps automatically, and once you finish a set, you can adjust the count before starting the next set with a button press.

Thanks! For me, it’s less about reps and more about keeping track of sets. There’s nothing worse than wondering if you’re on the fourth set or the fifth.

Got it. Garmin can definitely handle that. You can add a set counter to your workout screen, and while there’s an auto-set option, I personally prefer manually tracking sets with the lap button.

Garmin does pretty well with this. They’re amazing for running, cycling, swimming, and hiking, but they’re not bad at tracking lifting either.
