Anyone know a watch with LED notifications for calls and texts?

I miss the LED notifications on my old Samsung phones (not the watches). I’ve tried several apps to get the same feature, but they drain my battery too fast. I’m looking for a watch with a dedicated LED to show me at a glance (without picking up my phone) when I have a new notification. I’m not interested in fitness tracking or timekeeping, just the LED notifications.

So far, the Fitbit Flex 2 seems to be what I want, but the reviews aren’t great. Below is everything I’ve found that might help. Does anyone have any experience with these or know of any other options that might fit my needs?

If you’re into tinkering, some open-source options could be interesting. You might have to 3D print the case (or find someone to do it), and it might be possible to add extra LEDs. Whether the hardware has a spare output port to control them would require some investigation. You could ask in these communities for advice; someone might have already done something similar.
